Jerzy Malek - Chief Executive Officer

Jerzy Malek is a Polish national, the founder and the majority shareholder of Morpol. He is a serial entrepreneur and has established and run a variety of successful businesses in Poland and Australia, and has also lived and worked in Canada (1974–1976) and Australia (1980–1990). He has been active in fish businesses since 1990 and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Morpol since its establishment in 1996. Jerzy Malek, together with close associates, controls 76,731,705 shares in Morpol.



John-Paul McGinley Chief Operating Officer


John-Paul McGinley - Chief Operating Officer

John Paul McGinley is a UK national and has extensive experience in administrative, operational and commercial roles in listed companies in the salmon sector, firstly in the Netherlands with Nutreco (2001–2004) and later in the Netherlands and Poland with Marine Harvest ASA (2004–2008). Since 2008 he has worked for Morpol in Poland as Business Development Manager and recently as COO. John-Paul McGinley owns 1 million shares in Morpol.

Pål Angell-Hansen - Global Head of Farming

Pål Angell-Hansen (1969) is a Norwegian national. From 2005 until 2010 he was Chief Financial Officer of Marine Farms ASA, a listed Norwegian aquaculture company until its acquisition by Morpol in 2010. He is a former independent consultant, investor and advisor at SND Invest with a main focus on seafood companies. Pål Angell-Hansen is a former analyst with SEB Merchant Banking. In February 2011, he was appointed to his current position and is responsible for all farming activities of Morpol.



Piotr Kapinos Chief Financial Officer


Piotr Kapinos - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kapinos is a Polish national and has several years of experience in financial management. He comes from the position of the CFO of Iglotex S.A., a major Polish producer and distributor of frozen foods. In the period of 2009-2011 Mr. Kapinos held the position of the Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of Wilbo S.A.,a producer and distributor of seafood products. Prior to this Mr Kapinos worked as CFO of the VTS Group S.A and as a consultant in the assurance and advisory business service department of Ernst&Young in Mannheim, Germany.

Production

Fresh salmon are processed at Morpol’s dedicated plant in Ustka on the Baltic coast of Northern Poland. Our plant is purpose designed and unique to Morpol, as is the processing and smoking equipment. It is the largest and most technologically advanced salmon processing facility in the world. Scale brings benefits of efficiency that keep costs down and enable us to make best use of all by-products from processing.
