Morpol is run by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team of people with broad experience over the entire value chain, spanning from aquaculture, fish purchasing, processing and product development to finance, sales and distribution logistics. Our presence and contacts in our markets bring insights into the needs and preferences of customers and consumers. We use these to inspire our processing innovations, equipment design and new product development.

Morpol history

Founded in 1996 in Ustka on the Baltic coast of Poland, the company employs over 3,000 people in eight countries. Attention to quality, innovation, customer service and consumer appeal continuously drives growth at Morpol, which is now the world leading processor of salmon and market leader in smoked salmon. Morpol was founded by CEO Jerzy Malek who saw the potential of salmon aquaculture and the growing demand for smoked salmon.

The Morpol Mission

The Morpol Mission is to be the most efficient producer of value added salmon products, exceeding customer expectations with excellent products that are attractive and convenient for consumers and food service. Morpol will continuously innovate in product concept, equipment design and food safety to set the performance standards for the industry.

Production

Fresh salmon are processed at Morpol’s dedicated plant in Ustka on the Baltic coast of Northern Poland. Our plant is purpose designed and unique to Morpol, as is the processing and smoking equipment. It is the largest and most technologically advanced salmon processing facility in the world. Scale brings benefits of efficiency that keep costs down and enable us to make best use of all by-products from processing.
