Morpol organisation

Morpol is active in purchasing, processing, packaging, sales and distribution of smoked, marinated, fresh and frozen salmon and other fish products. In 2010 Morpol entered into farming operations.

Efficient group structure

The sequence begins with purchasing fish (Waynor Trading) for delivery to the Morpol plant in Ustka, Poland. Here, the fish are processed and packaged (Morpol S.A., Laurin Seafood, Morpol VAP) for despatch to their destination countries around the world.

Morpol distribution centres Morpol France and Laschinger Seafood in Germany serve these two major markets. We plan to expand these centres to process smoked fillets to into products specialised for local preferences.

Sales activities are managed from Ustka with sales offices in selected markets: Morpol, Laschinger Seafood in Germany, Morpol UK, Morpol France, Morpol America and most recently Morpol Italy.

The Morpol Mission

The Morpol Mission is to be the most efficient producer of value added salmon products, exceeding customer expectations with excellent products that are attractive and convenient for consumers and food service. Morpol will continuously innovate in product concept, equipment design and food safety to set the performance standards for the industry.

Traceability

Our traceability system enables us to trace back from the final pack to details of how and when we processed it, and back again to the original suppliers with specific batch numbers and dates. The origin of all ingredients is recorded on arrival. They are tracked through the entire process together with information on dates, times, destinations and customers, all linked with the final product lot code.

Logistics

The Morpol plant on Poland’s Baltic coast is well located to receive fish by sea or road from Norway and Scotland, and elsewhere. It is also convenient for despatch of Morpol products by road and air. Most of our European destinations are reached by road within 24 hours. By air, our products are on retailer shelves in the US within 48 hours of despatch from our plant.
